Harbhajan Singh wants Mumbai Indians to give 100 percent against Somerset regardless of result – Cricket News Update
Mumbai Indians’ captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Harbhajan-Singh-c61453, is not bothered about the result of his team’s semi-final clash against Somerset, saying that he just wants his players to go out and give their hundred percent.
The Mumbai Indians are set to meet English County, Somerset, in the second semi-final game of the ongoing Champions League Twenty20 at Chennai on Saturday, October 8, 2011.
Harbhajan and men remained lucky throughout the first round of the championship, as they won two close matches whereas one of their games abandoned due to poor weather conditions.
Talking to media persons in the per-match press conference, the Indian off-spinner asked his teammates not to take any pressure and play their natural game when they take on the mighty http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Somerset-c843.
"Just go out, give it your best shot and enjoy the game. If you`re looking to enjoy the game, you give it everything. I`ll make sure we`ll give it our best on the field and whatever result we get, we`ll be happy with it," said Harbhajan who is shouldering
captaincy responsibilities in the absence of regular skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556 who missed the championship due to his toe injury.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KA-Pollard-c1754, was the only man to score a half-century in the previous four matches.
However, Harbhajan is not worried over the average show by his batsmen, saying that T20 format of the game is all about picking up the momentum and any batsman can fire at any stage.
"The kind of batting line up we are, we have not performed to our expectations so far, apart from one game in Bangalore where we played brilliantly and got the runs on the board. As a matter of fact, if you manage to connect five balls with the bat, that
could be your day,” added the 31-year-old off-spinner who has grabbed three wickets so far in the competition.
He, meanwhile, refrained from commenting on the possible playing XI for the big game despite confirming injured Pollard’s participation in the game
