  1. I think it depends. I always knew of dandy brushes as soft brushes and hard brushes as body brushes. I looked up the definition on line and found examples of both soft and hard brushes described as Dandy brushes. bit confusing eh?

  2. Yes, they are the same thing.  They are both hard-bristled and used for the same thing, just two different terms, like soft brush and finishing brush.

  3. to what i am aware of, yes they are the same type of brush, and they do the same thing, just people have different names for it

  4. Yep, they are the same thing.

curry comb (rubber/plastic/metal), hard brush (dandy/mud), soft brush (fine/face), and hoof pick.

And lots of specialty brushes for everything you could possibly imagine!

  5. BRUSH BRUSH BRUSH!!!:

1.curry comb used to do circles on the horse to lift the dust

    2. hard brush other wise known as the dandy brush is used in a flick motion to remove dust and dirt lifted by curry comb

3.then u get your soft brush and brush all the dirt away left behind plus also used to make the horse shiny!!!!

  6. If I remember right a dandy brush is just another name for a hard brush.  There is also a soft brush and body brush.  You want to use the hard brush first as it gets the deep dirt out.  A soft fine brush should be used after to help get the smaller dust particles out.  They are sometimes called a polishing brush because they get the dust off which will give the coat its final shine.

  7. No.

A hard brush is a cleaning brush used for removing excessive dirt, dried mud etc.

A dandy brush is a soft finishing brush.

This would be the last brush to use to finish the grooming process and to bring up the sheen on the coat, and is used in a soft flicking motion to remove any last remaining specks of dirt.
