Hard Drive Disappeared!?

I had the virus: Antivirus 2009 on my computer - I have got rid of it and now my hard drive has disappeared! Help please!

  1. For XP, download PowerToys for Windows XP from here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downl...

    Install & reboot. On the start > programs menu find and open PowerToys for Windows XP > tweak UI. In the program, find my computer > drives. Place a check in the box next to items you want to show. Click apply, ok.

    Im guessin you got windows xp ?

    Right well obviouslly you hard drive is still working (physically there) but not showing up.

    I think if you have you xp recovery dvd you should reinstall windows xp.

    If you do a repair install you wont lose you files.Then see if the hardrive shows up.

    Btw did you use hijackdis to remove the virus ?

  3. If you have not format it then try partition magic software some times viruses damages the table structure of the hard drive.
