Hard Drive Error

Question

I am trying to reinstall windows 2000 pro on my computer but ever time I start it up i get a hard drive error...I have tried 4 different drives and get the same error, if i hit the F1 key to continue it will go into windows, but if I restart the computer or shut it down i still get the error.
