Hello guys

Yesterday right after i use the system utility tool to clean the registery, after rebooting, i am starting to received hard drive imminent Failure and some thing about the SMART 1720 and at attribute.

i believe my hard drive is fine because i can still log on to xp without any problems.

Just the starting screen is annoying.

Anyone knows how to disable this or how to fix this?

l have HP d325 and xp pro with Maxtor Hard Drive.

  1. What part about imminent failure is it that you don't understand?

Go out and buy a new hard drive immediately, before imminent failure changes to has

    failed.

    .

  2. Pay attention to the warning. Back up all your data files (documents, etc) to CD/DVD.

The drive may be fine NOW, but imminent failure means it could crash at any time without warning.
