Hello,
I Purchased a bigger HD (WD) for GX110 but PC did not recognize it. Was referred to Intel site by Dell, and down loaded Intel Application Accellerator 2.3 for WD hard drives to correct problem. My Operating system is Windows 2000. Saved file on my original HD, and installed software. After software was installed, a reboot of my system was required. During the reboot process the BIOS did not recognize either of my 2 hard drives (not dual boot). However, my CD roms and floppy drive is.
I verified settings in BIOS were set at Auto.
Checked my IDE cable connections (setup for cable select), and they were plugged in ok.
Verified hard drives were setup as cable select.
Ran my GX110 configure disk (flash was the same, but I reinstalled anyway).
Tried another formatted HD (10G) from my other computer (Dell), but it was not recognized either.
Tried to boot PC with single drive using both 0 and 1 connectors on my EIDE cable (drive was changed to master).
Took out batter from mother board for 2 hours to reset BIOS.
Reset the password pin on mother board.
Removed all connections from the Motherboard before rebooting.
Ran diagnostic disk but it did not see the IDE connection for the hard drives, and it didn't give me an error on it.
Nothing I did worked. BIOS is running ver A09 and Windows 2000 service pack 4 when operational. Help!
