Hard Rock Park, Myrtle Beach S.C?

Question

has anyone been to the new theme park in Myrtle Beach S.C? Hard Rock Park.

I'd like to hear what you thought about the park.

To the other person that answered this question, saying that the Hard Rock Park is the best theme park in Myrtle Beach is kind of like saying that Washington, DC is the best capital of the United States.  It's pretty much got to be the best when it's the only real theme park here.  There are other amusement parks in our area, but no other theme parks.

Anyway, to answer the original question, I have not been - but I am good friends with/related to many employees of the park.  Overall, the opinions of the park I have heard are negative (so far) - "since it's on a small amount of property, there's not really much to do" being the main complaint I've heard about the park.  However, one upside to having the Hard Rock name behind the park is that Myrtle Beach might possibly see more "big name" musical artists performing in town - for example, the Eagles will be performing here soon (I'm pretty sure they've never performed here before).

All in all, I think the best characteriation that can be made of the HRP at this point in time is that it's still very new - it's too early to tell how it's going to operate just yet.  After all, the grand opening was less than a month ago.  Give it a few months, and then ask again...then, perhaps there'll be a clearer picture of what the park is really like.

i have not been there but was told it is the best one in the area by a friend from there. it has more area and more rides and the largest rides. and from what i understand myrtle beach has a bunch of theme parks and such
