Question:

Hard decision of becoming a professional tennis player?

Do I go to college right away or do I go with my dream of becoming a professional tennis player? I started playing when I was 15 and I've joined my high school tennis team when I was 16. I have not lost a match since and have went to state each time. I'm 18 now and I have a tough decision. I feel my tennis is getting much better and I have confidence in myself that I could be a professional. Is college a better choice or should I devote my life to tennis for a few years? College will always be there but becoming a professional only comes once. Thank you for the answers.

  1. well ever thank of doing both? like mabey you should be a part time studint and play professinal just not as much for like 4 years but idk im 13 so what do i know XD

  2. you haven't lost a match in high school... You say you went to state each time... did you win state?  If not, then you've lost matches.

Anyway, if you're good enough to play D1 college you've probably got numerous coaches recruiting you.  If you don't have coaches recruiting you, then you aren't' good enough to play pro

If you do play D1 tennis, I'd go to school for a year and see how you compete at that level... If you dominate then go pro, if you don't dominate take the education

  3. You started when you were 15??? thats pretty old to start playing. Are you nationally ranked? becuase if not, sorry to break it to ya but you're not going to have any chance at becoming a pro.

  4. **** u ur not good enough u started 3 years ago

  5. Dude, do what every normal person does, take a year off after High School, h**l take two, after about two years you should know if you're going anywhere or not in Tennis, if no, THEN go to college.

    No Rush.
