I bought my hard drive about 6 months ago and it worked fine. I lost the power cable for it and for about 4 months have been unable to use it. I then found a power cable which I thought worked but was the wrong one, and then I managed to find the correct one. However, now when I connect the hard drive to my laptop, it is not detected, and I cannot see it in My Computer. The green light on the side flickers when connected to the power. I can also hear a whirring sound which sounds like something is spinning, I'm not sure if this is normal. I don't mind losing the data on the drive but would like to get it working ASAP. I'd be grateful if anyone know's how I can get it to start working again. Thanks
