  3. yes poor things...

    neeeext!

  4. "Standard Liege are no pushover team and went unbeaten last season for 31 games in there league going on to win it with 3 games to spare"

It makes a mockery of the tournament when a team that finishes as CHAMPIONS of their League do not automatically qualify for the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.

The whole competition has lost it's meaning. I don't think your hard luck message will go down well with the fans of Standard Liege. They have certainly been hard done to.

  5. yeah they deserved to win.

  6. over the last few seasons liverpool are the luckiest and most OVERATTED side in the premiership

  7. i knew the past tense would come in there somewhere ....won being the operative word there! A better sentance to finish on would have been we will win it this year ...but frankly you didnt say that because you know you wont!

Hard Luck to Standard Liege they put up an excellent fight, luck just wasnt running their direction!

  8. Yes- they outplayed Pool, who were saved by Reina and a final example of the way we expected them to play. I have serious doubts as to what Benitez is about - Pool's passing was poor and - worst of all - predictable, enabling Liege to get 2 or three players on to the ball (it often looked as if they had 15 players on the pitch).  As said above, SL are a good team - could and should have won against a below par performance by Pool.  Only good aspect was we were spared penalties - and showed usual spirit for the FULL 120 minutes, whereas Liege clearly ran out of steam and Pool finally finished well enough to get the result. They won't progress too far playing like that and unless Benitez changes tack other teams will cease being intimidated by Anfield - 5 wins or not.

  9. good point.

standard were brilliant in both legs. they are definatly big contendors for the uefa.

    YNWA!

  10. yes man hard luck to the Belgium's,

but we are liverpool after all.

  11. standard did well againt europe's best (LFC)

good luck to them but soon we'll be saying

    WE WON IT 6 TIMES!

  12. loved the last sentence...

(and youve made a great points, btw)

    ....."we won it 5 times"

  13. ok fair enough

standard liege is a good team, hard to beat

but that opponent was supposedly the easiest you have faced in the champions league qualifiers

but,if liverpool continues to win matches that way,and yes ,they DO play c**p,i dont think that with such teams in their group such as marseille ,psv, and athletico, they will manage a lot , let alone advance to the next round of the competition

not only is it hard time for you in the champions league as of now but also there are difficult matches expecting you in the premiership

good luck and try to perform better as of now otherwise it will cost you

  14. they were a great team torres never got a chance kicked off the ball (sounds like mancs) we had a solid back but need to vastly improve midfield

  15. they played very well and gave a good account of themselves but Liverpool scored and they didn't so they have got no one to blame but themselves, well done to Liverpool.

they might not be a push over team but they certainly shouldn't be out playing a team that "won it 5 times" especially not at Anfield!

  16. I agree, it was a shame to go out having played so well, it will do liverpool a power of good to have played such a good team in only the qualifiers, there are a lot of so called top teams who would have lost to standard liege tonight

  17. yeah well done to them but I'm glad they lost. supporting liverpool is driving  me to an early grave.
