how does shortage of skilled workers affect people or citizens of a country?

  1. The problem is that the shortage is a myth.  The importation of cheap foreign scab labor depresses wages and discourages students from pursuing a degree in those fields.


  2. It affects taxpayers negatively, basically forcing us to establish more taxes for education centers in order to fulfill the supply and demand of an economy which is crumbling, and has been on a downfall for a while, destroying the economy even further. It turns into a lose-lose sitation. And it's costing taxpayers even more money that we don't need to be spending.

    Lack of skilled workers = lack of supply for the demand. Simply put. In a nutshell. Not to beat around the bush or anything....

  3. People learn new skills.

  4. Wages go up. Jobs may move out if they can't fill them in a timely manner.
