Question:

Hard shifting Saturn... Problem?

My 2001 L200 has intermittently had stretches where it will not upshift (its an auto transmission). I will admit that I know rather little about cars, but may this be indicative of low fluid, or simply a need for a service?

Thanks for any insight.

  1. Check the fluids first, Usually some shops will inspect it for free. They might take advantage of you though and add some things you didnt quite need on top of what really needs fixed. If you know anyone in the business have them take a look. But if you take it to a shop that will inspect it for free, they might at least give you some insight. Good luck

  2. This is a problem with shifting solenoids they get debris in them causing this problem. Take to dealer and get properly diagnosed.
