  1. stop massaging them and they will go on their own. Very normal.

  2. this is a reaction to the prevnar shot. my son had a knot at 4 months.it took 3 months to shrink. i called the ped's office and was told this is a normal reaction to this particular shot.  this caused me to question vaccinations.some vaccines are quite new and not mandatory. please research before you inject anything else. your child's health and safety should be your #1 concern. i hope everything turns out fine for your baby.

  3. Happened  to my son when he got his. Was only for one needle though. I asked my maternal health nurse, she just said it was normal and they would go away eventually. He is 5 1/2 months now and it has been gone for ages. If you can massage them and it doesn't cause your baby any pain then maybe continue to do that, it might quicken the process - but otherwise it is normal and will resolve itself.

If still in doubt ring your medical professional for peace of mind, otherwise good luck

  4. Hi.  Same thing happened to my daughter, but as time went on, it got bigger and bigger, until it was about the size of a small fist.  Turned out to be a hematoma.  They say to massage it, but it didn't do much to help our situation.  I ended up extending the time period between shots until it was completely gone, which took about three months.  Crazy and scary, but not dangerous.

  5. It is normal.  A couple of ways to avoid it next time is to rub them a lot, bicycle her legs, and put wet tea bags on baby's legs.

  6. Unfortunately warm compress and massage is all you can do for this. If you all still concerned see your doctor.

  7. Same thing happened to my daughter with her 4mth shots. It's perfectly normal. They will go away on their own. Hers have gone now and she's 6.5mths old. Of course if they keep getting bigger get her checked by your doctor.

  8. It's just a localized reaction to the injection. (Ever had the sore arm after a tetanus shot or a flu shot? Same kind of thing.) A couple of weeks is not normal - a couple of days is okay. I'd call the doctor and just touch base - your child just may be more sensitive to the injections than others.
