Hard time applying eyeliner on top of eyelid?

Question

Ok I'm trying to put it on my eyelid like eyeshadow but not the whole eye lid just the tip of it.

but it looks horrible when i put it on because it's like not all on 1 line and it just looks WRONG and weird.

How do you apply it?

close one of your eyes with your hand and pull it to the side so that your eyelid is like a smooth surface. then just go very slowly across your eye. tip: try to get it lower then you probably would put it because then it comes out perfectly where you want it

Try applying it with the sharp but slightly softer tip of the eyeliner, then keep a cotten bud on hand with moisturiser for if u make a mistake.  When applying the eyeliner. pull your eyelashes down softly as you make the line, as that makes a smoother and tighter surface to work with. or pull the corner of your eye in the direction your working in..

also its easier to do it in small strokes, like perhaps make small lines with gaps in between and then join them up.

Pull your eyelid down a little, so it doesn't slip, but don't pull it out to the side, then make small strokes as you go along, don't try to put it on in one big line, and put it on light as first, and then get darker. It's easier to hide mistakes that way.

close the one eye you are applying it to.

spread the lid out like yer making chinese eyes.

and hold it like that.

run the eyeliner as close to your eyelashes as possible.

you should actually by drawing the line into the lash line.

when you let yer eye go you'll probably have a line of skin between the liner &lashes.

just take the liner and fill it in.

look up and run the liner in yer lashes to fill it in more.

and then lift you lashes up,and it will look like yer bottom lid,you'll have the rim of skin thats below the lash.just run yer liner across that,and it will make it look darker,fuller and make yer lashes look thicker.

If you need to apply on top of eyelid, you definetely need some liquid eyeliner, but don't ever try to apply on bottom line of eyeliner cuz then it will be very very painful (your eyes will burn, and when I say burn they will burn burn burn as h**l).

Here is me with my liquid eyeliner (only half of my face) and you can see that with liquid eyeliner the line looks more define and sharper.

also use liquid for the top once it sets it wont smudge like pencil i find a felt tip is better than a long brush like thin tip i know prestige brand has a felt tip brush which i fine most convenient while covergirl and other brands have annoying long skin brushes also wet n wild has crappy brushes check duane reade they carry prestige brand if you cant find it there check ebay type in prestige liquid eyeliner
