Question:

Hard to explain iTunes question..?

Ok when I download albums, sometimes the titles of the songs will include the artist and track number of each song. Like, for example, just say i download "Abbey Road" by the Beatles, it shows up as

1. Beatles - Abbey Road - Come Together

2. Beatles - Abbey Road - Something

3. Beatles - Abbey Road - Maxwells Silver Hammer

etc

JUST in the title, while it will already have "The Beatles" in the artist column, and "Abbey Road" in the album column, so all of tha tinformation in the title becomes redundant.

Is there a way I can make it from

"1. Beatles - Abbey Road - Come Together"

to just

"Come Together"

But can I do this all at once with every track? because it's very time consuming.

If this is awfully explained, tell me and i'll try and elaborate.

  1. Highlight all of the songs you want to change. Then open the "Get Info" window. The change you enter will be applied to all of the highlighted songs.

    Easy, huh?

  2. Okay, go to iTunes. Right-click your song, then click "get info". Then, just change the info to whatever. You can also adjust volume, when the song stops, etc.

If it's gray and it won't let you edit, right click the file in it's folder an click properties. Make sure the file isn't blocked. But I recommend shutting off your PC then turning it back on. Then edit the info.

You can't do every song at once so make sure you have a lot of time.
