  1. sounds like tinnitus ---> i have it too; started at 15. they say you can't get rid of the ringing, but it may go away on its own. tinnitus usually develops after a severe fever or exposure to very loud noises.

see a doctor; ENT specialist. the sooner you get it diagnosed, the better.

    good luck.

  2. Sensorineural hearing loss ( hardness of hearing because of involvement of  nerves of hearing)  and tinnitus (ringing in the ear) are  known complications of  infectious diseases.

Best is to consult an ENT specialist who will thoroughly examine your ears, clean your wax if present and advice test to assess degree and type of hearing-deficit (by P/T Audiometry).

Only option available for  sensorineural hearing impairement is hearing-aid.

Tinnitus is not curable and is usually harmless, a thorough check-up and reassurance is all you need.

  3. The ringing is probably tinnitus, but have your ears checked.  The deafness could be imbedded wax or any number of things.  Maybe it's fixable.  The ringing you're probably stuck with, though.

  4. so ur 63 and go on yahoo answers that is sad
