  1. hardship license is for grown ups that

    (a) have a job

    (b) support the family

    (c) has had a license to get to the job previously and had it suspended.

You don't get it just because you NEED a license badly.  At 15 it is very difficult to show that you support your family.

    Good Luck....

  2. Yes, a hardship license is for adults who have been convicted and had their license revoked to allow them to work, etc.

But it does also apply to underage people.

Can minors receive limited driving privileges?

Under AC 27-16-70, minors who meet a C average requirement in school courses or show employer knows of restricted licensing privilege may obtain a limited license.

See number 4 there.  If you have a job where you are required to drive...look towards the bottom there.  It's not easy to get and you have to show good reason you need it, plus you must pass all the tests with the exception of age.

If you aren't helping to support your family or needed to take some family member in for treatment, it's unlikely you will get it.

  3. You need to contact the DMV in your state and find out what circumstances allow someone to apply for such a license.  of course, you are going to have to provide copies of insurance, vehicle registration, title and a valid dependent who needs your on call services.
