Hardtail v full suspension mountain bike?

this is the kind of hardtail i want to get its a type of dirt jumper . http://www.haggul.com/ProdImage/25%5C499180.jpg

and you all know what a fs mtb looks like so what do you reccomend for a begginer who wants to start some trial bike aswell as ridin in the dirt and jumpin i guess lol . ..:)

  1. you could go with a dirt jumper they're fairly cheap and usually come with disc brakes


  2. Bikes Direct sells the only decent full suspension mountain bike that I know of for under $400.  That's a delivered price in the USA.  Don't know if they ship overseas.

    With your budget, however, a hardtail is probably your best bet -- lots more choices in the lower price range.

  3. get the bike that suits your riding! you want a dirt jumper. you found one! you won't find a good full suspension bike under $1000. so go with the ride you want! I prefer hardtails, even on the trails. but I ride XC single-track. if you want something thats more of a mountain bike, check out the specialized hardrock, or the HRXC. a full suspension trials bike will cost you though..

  4. i think you will have to get a hardtail because i live in Australia so $400 american is a little under $450 and a descent dual suspension bike is atleast $1500
