Question:

Hardy breakfast ideas?

I need breakfast ideas for a hearty meal. Something that will last me from about 6am to about 4pm. I'm not talking fatty (though I'm considering a 9 stack of McD's pancakes), but something healthy and hearty. Granola and yogurt seems the best to me, but I welcome any other ideas. 10 points to the heartiest, healthiest option.

  1. make an omelet with loots of different veggies. Then country potatoes (dice it and cook it with a little bit of oil and butter, season with it salt and pepper) with fruit on the side.

  2. eggs...toast..bacon or sausage and make some pancakes..wiht orange juice ;)..or you can do otmeal with some fruit..

  3. The best way is mix up as many food groups as possible.  I love wraps for easy on the go eating.  Try filling a flour tortilla with eggs, potatoes, turkey sausage, mushrooms, and onions.  If you like you can also add some salsa.

The tortilla is your carbs, eggs are very healthy and provide protein.  Turkey sausage has less fat than pork sausage so it is a healthier way to add some spice and more protein.  The vegetables add vitamins and minerals as well as some other flavor.  Add a glass of juice and some yogurt and you have all five food groups.

  4. Grapenuts cereal

    Oatmeal

    Pancakes w/pecans

  5. oatmeal with brown organic sugar, vanilla soy milk, cinnamon, almonds and raisins

    1/2 cup blueberries

    2 poached eggs

whole wheat toast with 1 T. peanut butter

    1 cup oj

  6. Biscuits, sausage & sausage gravy and scrambled eggs.
