Harlequins centre David Howell faces ban for biting incident in match against Catalan Dragons

London based English Rugby League Football Club, Harlequins Rugby League's (RL), preparations for the rest of the season suffered a major blow as their experienced and talented centre, David
Howell, faces a possible ban for his biting offence.
Earlier, officials had cited Howell for his offence and directed Howell to appear before the disciplinary panel on Tuesday, August 02.
According to the report, Howell has bitten the Catalan Dragons scrumhalf Remy Marginet.  Harlequins were playing against the Dragons as part of the 2011 Engage Super League competition at Stade
Gilbert Brutus on Saturday, July 30.
The incident occurred in the last minute of the match, which Dragons won comprehensively.  Howell was playing his first game in two months, after recovering from the Knee surgery, which he
sustained during the season.
This is the second time Howell has been cited for an offence during the 2011 Super League season. Earlier in the season, he has already served a ban of one week for his dangerous tackle on
an opponent.
If Howell is proved guilty, he can be suspended from game for duration of four to eight weeks.  His unavailability will severely affect the chances of Harlequins to finish the season strongly.

Harlequins RL currently are placed at 12th position with 11 points coming from their 23 games in the season, this include five wins. They still have to play four more games in the
season against Crusaders, St Helens, Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants.
However, in absence of the Howell, Harlequins are facing the tough task of winning all of their remaining games in the season.
In addition to Howell, Rugby Football League has cited five more players for their respective offences, committed during last weekend’s encounters. This includes Harelquins' Oliver Wilkes,
James Roby, Micky Higham, Liam Higgins and John Davies.
Oliver Wilkes is charged with a late tackle on Dragon’s Remy Marginet, while St Helens' James Roby is cited for his dangerous throw on Castleford's Kirk Dixon.
Tigers' John Davies and Warrington's Micky Higham are cited for their dangerous body contact against and Bulls' Paul Sykes respectively.  Higgins has been cited for a high tackle on Crusaders'
Jordan James.
