Harlequins re-sign their young and talented centre George Lowe on three year deal – Rugby
English Rugby Union club, Harlequins, has announced the extension in the stay of their talented centre, George Lowe, with the club for the next season. Officials at the club have confirmed the re-signing of their impressive backs’ player, Lowe, in a statement released on their website on Wednesday, September 7.
Lowe has inked a three-year deal on his re-signing with the club, which will keep him at the franchise until the end of the 2013/14 season.
George Lowe has expressed his delight on signing his long-term deal with the club and termed it as a major milestone in his career. He has praised the coaching and training facilities provided by the club and has thanked the fans, club and management for their never-ending support.
Lower added, “Harlequins is a young and ambitious squad who are determined to win more silverware and I want to continue to be a part of it. We play a quick tempo game and an exciting brand of rugby, which is how I love to play.”
Harlequins Director of Rugby, Conor O'Shea, has expressed his satisfaction on acquiring the services of the promising centre. He said, “We have said we want to keep our squad together and let it mature and George's signing is a further statement of that intent.”
Kingston born Lowe is the Harlequins Academy product. He joined the Quins developmental structure in 2008. He made his debut for the senior team against the London Wasps on September 5, 2009. He has so far made 63 appearances for the Quins at both Aviva Premiership and in the European competition. He also has scored 90 points for Quins, which comprises of 18 tries.
The 21-year-old Lowe has represented England at the Under-20s level. He was part of the English team, which participated in the Under-20s Six Nations and 2009 Junior World Championship. 
Lowe was also part of the Harelquins winning outfit that won the 2010/11 Amlin Challenge Cup title by defeating the Stade Francais.
