This pile is looking more like the the best muscle cruiser made by YAMAHA the ROADSTAR WARRIOR.

OMG can't they make something of their own?

Although we know it def. will not run like a Yamaha.

I'll bet it still weighs 800+ LBS.

Even though they have a............ are you ready for this?

Dual piston caliper on it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk about technologically advanced

WOW!

  1. Looks like a V-Rod to me.

  2. Ripping off another Yamaha look?? what was the first one??

For 105 years they have been making bikes that are their own.  Like the other guy said, the v rod was here before the warrior.  Nobody said you have to like them.  If you want to bash a copycat, how about all the cruisers we've seen from Japan for the last two decades?

  3. Nice try!!!  Harley Davidson has been copied by many  Metric companies (the Roadstar by Yamaha is one) and this is the best you can come up with.

  4. i have to say... the harley guys here are right. Th japanese bike builders have been copying the cruisers outta Milwalkee, however.... why does harley keep producing poor products. And don't tell me they are good now... I was at Bike week this year in Daytona riding all the new Harleys... and guess how many of the new bikes were leaking??? nearly half. Brand new bikes. it's been the problem with HD all along... they make a killer looking/sounding bike but don't make it reliable. NOW, lets get to the VMAX.. one of my favortie biikes of all time. You say it's a copy from the NOVA.... well, I never knew HD made that bike.... wait, they didn't. it was just a prototype, only 12 bikes were ever made.. AND it was under AMF, so really was it HD??? I'm not sure, but i do know it was killed off... hmmmm what could have been???

NOW, I have a Warrior. It's a nice bike. It's very comparable to the Vrod. I think the Warrior is more comfortable, just as good looking as the Vrod and about $8000 less... oh yeah, and way more reliable. here's a couple of links to pictures I think is funny... my '05 warrior against a new VRod... very similar paint scemes.. Warrior first on that one.

as it boils down..... HD has made some great looking/sounding bikes.... and just like any company that competes with another company... (car companies, etc..) if someone makes a product that better or whatever, somebody is going to copy it... isn't that what they say, copy is the highest form of flattery???

My only beef with HD is they need to make the bikes more affordable.

  5. i think the squids need glasses....they think all bikes look like yamahahhaas

  6. hey the v-rod came out first (2001) and the Warrior came out in 2002, hate to say it but Yamaha seems to be duplicating harley (again). And a year later to boot...

  7. i'd say it's pretty close...

but motorcycles don't look that diffrent from each other.... if you look you can find similarites and diffrences between all the classes of all the major manufactures.

it's beuase it comes from consumer reports, on what they like and dislike... to go against that would surely bankrupt your company.

  8. seems only fair to me. all the j*p bikes started copying Harley back in the early 80's and it is still going on to this day. just think about it. Harley was fighting about the j**s copying the v-twin motor back then. no sense fussing about one bike looking like another now days. besides, its hard to tell one companies sport bike from another, but you didn't seem to mention that in your rant.

  9. Don't worry true HD rider's won't buy that ugly a** bike !!!

  10. Man youre nuts...id take a V Rod over a Warrior every day of the week....Ever seen what V Rods do at the track:)

seriously, My dad just retired from HD.  I just sold my R1, so you know where my alliances lay, I was always a Yammer guy..BUT, the V Rod is a very nice bike, well designed, handles and goes like h**l.

I rode a Warrior...build quality is typical j*p c**p....if someone gave it to me, id ride it.

In the end, they both take a backseat to my R1, or, my soon to be new bike, KTM 950SM....who wants to cruise around on a cow, I want to RAIL

  11. Since HD is a j*p company. It only makes since that all the bikes look the same

  12. Thanks for the link. Great looking bike and I see you agree.

  13. These j*p bike company's have been copying Harley for the past 20 years.

  14. The j**s have been copying Harley-Davidson for a long time. Check out the Rikou, it's a nice bike.

  15. if you want to see another bike yamaha copyed from Harley take a look at the v max, its a dead ringer for the water cooled overhead cam v4 nova harley developed in the late 70s.

the main difference is on the harley nova the air scoops on each side of the tank went to the hidden horizontal radiator. on the v max those same scoops are mostly decorative because the radiators out front..

they made 15 pre production novas(most are still around) but cancelled it in 1981 after spending 15 million on development so they could concentrate on the evo because market research showed an air cooled v twin would sell better.
