I am a girly girl but I am going to a Harley event with my husband. I have no idea what to wear. I think I might be ok in just a tank top and jean shorts or jeans, but I think that all my tank tops are a little to cute-cy....I just feel like I won't fit in. Also how am I supposed to wear my hair so it doesn't look rediculous when we get to the event? And for shoes...he wants me to wear boots but I'm not about to walk around in highheel boots all day in 80 degree weather.....do you think flip flops will be ok....thank you so much for your help..these are serious questions no rude comments needed thank you!

  1. At the event jean shorts and a tank top will be just fine. I doubt anyone would care if your tops are cute-cy. (Nothing wrong with a woman in a cute-cy tank top in my book)

If you are going on a bike wear some boots while riding and switch to flip flops when you get to the event.

  2. At least you are on the right track.  As you know, Harley's are all about image and lifestyle and riding really only comes last.  That's why Harley riders rarely put any real miles on their bikes.  Whatever you wear, make sure it has many HD emblems on it.  That way you will be more quickly accepted into the HD world.

  3. I have been to many Harley events over the years. First of all, you will fit in no matter what. There are people wearing everything under the sun. If you want to blend perfectly though, you will wear jeans, black motorcycle boots (flat bottoms no heels) and a HD tank top. Then wear a cycle jacket for when it gets dark. It's been getting into the mid 60' at night here and you will need it.

If I have a girl with me, I usually have her pull her hair back in a ponytail for the ride. That's pretty standard too. Or you can go with the doo-rag, but that borders on wannabe biker.

    So....

That's the generic outfit. If you wear that, you will totally blend in. Nobody will know if you came on the back of a bike, or rode one in yourself.

  4. I hope you're not wearing flip flops on the bike, if you drag you feet accidentally or go down your skin will stay on your foot for about a 1/10th of a second, then it will wear down to muscle tissue, bone, and so on.

  5. Personally I kind of like not fitting in at these events. I'm generally the one guy without a tattoo and wearing a FOX motocross t-shirt instead of a Harley one. Don't sweat it, you'll be fine.

  6. if you're not wearing a helmet, wear a bandana... it'll atleast make getting your hair back to a managable condition much easier.

  7. Wear what you want. Just protect yourself.

For example, pack the flip flops. Wear some boots while riding.

    Then change.

Motorcycle people are used to wind-blown hair. It's part of riding.

What's wrong with being cute, anyway?

  8. OK girly-girl - dress Harley chic! Jeans, cute tank, bandana to match your tank. I don't suggest flip-flops on a bike, wear tennis shoes at least.

Hair- if it's short just tie your bandana over it. If it's long either french braid or use LOTS of ponytails. (I use 6 and my hair is about half way down my back.) Then tie on a bandana!

I like to mix it up. Sometimes I show up Harley chic, other times biker babe. LOL Just have fun. Don't worry about fitting in - you don't want to look like everyone else anyway!

  9. if you want to fit in a tank top is fine long pants over the ankle boots tie your hair back or wear a bandanna, high heels not a good ideal flip flops bad ideal even if you not riding someone could step on your foot or roll over it. wear riding boots

Dress like you rode there on a bike.

  10. all i can say is go to your local harley dealer and buy an out fit and foot wear just be careful not to spend a fortune when me and my wife go i can just be going for a new shirt and we will leave with a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff for her and my new shirt as for your hair pack a brush and wear it how you want up or down it wont matter and have a safe and fun ride we got a big one coming up last year it was about 10 miles worth of bike and it gets bigger every year cant wait
