  1. Yeah, I let Pops ride with me on his Shadow 1100.  I still tease him a lot though.

  2. anyone who says they wouldn't should actually be embarrased to post such info..... it really shows a deeper underlying immaturity that most people should be afraid to show if they do indeed have the immaturity rooted in them.

  3. No.

I don't want to be seen riding with my friends.

    It'll ruin my reputation.

They can't get out of my way, or even their own.

  4. I have ridden with Harleys when I had my crotch rocket, and I have ridden with crotch rockets when I had my Harley. Now I'm riding a Buell, so I'm actually riding a Harley crotch rocket.

I completely agree with the guy who said a real motorcyclist can see what's cool about all different bikes.

It's the poseurs on both sides who seem to have the real problems with other makes and bike styles.

The real motorcyclists are too busy having fun to care.

  5. Of course, I do all the time. To me if it really bothers you that much that someone prefers a different bike than you, you're just weird. A real biker can appreciate all bikes.

  6. Well so far we have 5 Harley riders checking in and they all say no, they don't discriminate.

So the question is: Why do you always see only Harleys riding together?

Maybe its because of the riding style, they can't keep up with sportsbikes, and don't necessarily want to because cruisers are not just about raw speed.  When you do see other bikes in a group of Harleys, they're usually Japanese cruisers, in fact the Japanese bikes, the Shadow and Star and others, look so much like Harleys these days that you have to look close to tell the difference.  But that would support the 'riding style' theory.

  7. Sure i let Harley riders ride with me, but if they have the loud pipes i ask they they ride behind at least 1/8 th mile.

  8. LOL! Someone tell B'sMomma that the only way to ride "with" Harley riders is to ride behind them. Otherwise you lose them in the curves.

Lots of Shadow and Vulcan riders might  appear to be riding with a group of Harleys because HD riders prevent fast bikes from passing.  I don't think its because they are rude, most of the time,  just  afraid to maneuver their bikes close to the shoulder.

  9. Yep, but they gotta ride in the back!

  10. I would welcome anyone to ride along with me,so ride what ever you want as long as your riding it doesn't matter to me what your on

  11. Yeah it's mainly about riding style. Nobody is really against it but nobody really wants to do it either way.

Why would anybody want to take a leisure bike and ride at race speeds, scraping them chrome pipes in curves and rattling the tassles off the bar ends? And why would anybody want to cruise on a sport performance machine at or well below the speed limit on a wide open road.

Do you ever see anybody racing a Bently or Jaguar? No. Same way you don't see Lamborginis out cruising the strip 10MPH unless it's a parade.

  12. yes

    no problem

I don't see any good reason not to

  13. of course... all riders welcome even sport bikes
