Harley Sportster Reserve Gas Tank Capacity?

Can anyone tell me what the standard reserve tank capacity is for a 1200cc 1996 Harley-Davidson Sportser?

With the small tank ( 2.2 gal I think ) I can go around 25mi on reserve

I was told by someone (a bike mechanic) way back when that you have ten miles upon hitting reserve to get to a gas station. If you figure a Sportster gets 50 mpg, that would be a fifth of a gallon.

You shouldn't be letting you bike go into reserve if you can help it. It lets too much gunk into your lines.

Fuel capacity for a factory tank was 3.3 gal for a  1200cc 1996 Harley-Davidson Sportser.  You are looking at about one fifth of a gallon or about 20 miles max.
