Harmeet Singh has stressed that Feyenoord Rotterdam are a huge club playing in Dutch Eredivisie, while insisting that he is eagerly waiting for the start of the 2012/13 season.
The promising youngster, who arrived at De Kuip Stadion last month after spending five years at Valerenga, has revealed that he moved to Rotterdam giants to develop his skills further.
“Feyenoord are a big club that have developed a lot of good players, and I'm really looking forward to my time here. It's important for me to develop as a player, so I had to make this step”, Singh was quoted as saying to goal.com.
The Norwegian footballer of Indian descent, who has thus far represented http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Norway-c2974 in three games, had been performing brightly at Ullevaal Stadion Oslo for the past couple of seasons.
His consistent performances garnered him interest from several European clubs, but the midfielder opted to pursue his career in Rotterdam.
“I never had any doubts. I had some other offers, but I was really excited about the opportunity to join Feyenoord”, Singh added.
The Rotterdammers finished second on the league table in the 2011/12 season, and would be participating in the UEFA Champions League next term.
Singh, who represented Valerenga in 101 league matches before moving to De Kuip Stadion, has admitted that the Rotterdam giants are one of the top teams playing in the highest echelons of Dutch football.

The 21-year-old has signed a contract with Feyenoord that will keep him at De Kuip Stadion until the end of the 2013/14 season. The youngster would be hoping to perform consistently for the fallen Eredivisie giants to make his
dream move to one of the elite European clubs.
