  1. My opinion, you can not have ANY child on a harness. You do not treat a child like a dog. I know its meant for safety, but tell your child about stories of strangers kidnapping, kids who had got run over from fast cars cause they did not hold their parents hand. Trust me, she will want you to HOLD her, after she hears that

  2. I think that if you put a harness on a 10 year old, that you will have a big problem with her attitude on the trip. That is too old in my opinion and in her opinion too I am sure.

  3. No she is way too old for that...I'd stop that at like 3

  4. Personally, I think she's too old for a "leash".  Whether she holds your hand or not, she should be old enough to understand that she needs to stay right beside you at all times.  Especially while walking down the busy streets of NY.  Surely she's not still running around like a toddler does.

  5. that is PHYSCO! i think leashes are COMPLETELY ridiculous for ALL ages. YOU KID IS NOT A DOG. Shes 10 so if shes too embarrassed to hold your hand then only hold it when you're in a REALLY crowded area. If you aren't then just watch her its fine stop being such a protective worry wort.

  6. i think using those on any child is absolutely inhumane.... your children are not animals so dont treat them like it..... teach your daughter that if she does not hold your hand someone can up and snatch her away and run off... my daughter is 6 and i tell her that.

  7. Chances are, if she doesn't like to hold your hand, she'll like a "leash" even less!

  8. LOL that question is pretty funny, as I am picturing a 10 year old child on  a leash.  I hope this question is a joke.  If it is not, you really need to talk to your child.  A 10 year old should really know not to run off and to keep by you.

  9. My daughter is 10. She has a monkey backpack with a long tail. The end of the tail is a handle. We used it when we went to NYC. I could keep track of her plus she kept goodies in it. She didn't feel safe w/o it. It was made just for her.

  10. I'd tell her if she doesn't hold your hand, she's not goiing out.

  11. Way to old for a leash!, i dont really get why parents want to treat their kids like dogs. NYC isnt to bad but if she doesn't want to hold ur hand, keep her right in front of u and u can place your hands on her sholders for more portection when it gets more crowed or your crossing a street.

  12. Who is the boss, you or her? Tell her that she can't come unless she holds your hand. You think she is going to like a leash more then holding your hand? psh

  13. LLLLLLOOOOOOOLLLL!!!!!!!

  14. the oldest person i saw on a leash was 5 MAXIMUM!

  15. A leash for a TEN year old?!?!?  That is...um....NO, you can't/ shouldn't do that!  DON'T DO THAT!
