Harold Lederman reckons Timothy Bradley is a real threat to Manny Pacquiao – Boxing news
The pharmacist/Home Box Office’s unofficial judge, Harold Lederman reckons that there is only one warrior at the moment, Timothy Bradley, who can upset the eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao in the ring.
The Pretty Boy, Floyd Mayweather, who is considered as a real opponent for the Fighting Pride of Philippines, Manny Pacquiao, recently announced his return on September 17, 2011 against Victor Ortiz and Lederman believes now Bradley is the only pugilist
left out there who is capable of fighting Pacquiao.
Lederman compared the 27-year-old Bradley with the Real Deal, Evander Holyfield, a former undisputed champion in both cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. He said the American boxer Bradley is a smaller version of him.
The 71-year-old said Bradley is a dangerous fighter because he makes proper use of his head and on the top of it, he wins with his big right hands.
While speaking on his inclusion, he remarked, “I see Bradley as a smaller version of Evander Holyfield. What makes Bradley so dangerous for Manny is two things. One, he leads with his head and, two, he likes to come over the top with big right hands which
a southpaw can be vulnerable to.”
Lederman added all he thinks is that Bradley-Pacquiao can be a real showdown for the audience.
He stated, “Timothy Bradley can give Manny Pacquiao a fight, a real fight. All in all, I think Bradley-Pacquiao would be a fun fight, a competitive fight.”
Lederman then discussed Manny Pacquiao’s fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, which is scheduled for November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
He said it should be a very easy fight for the 32-year-old Filipino, Pacquiao, as there is a lot of age difference between both fighters and moreover Pacquiao is a welterweight whereas Marquez is a lightweight.
“Of their fights, this will be the easiest one for Manny. There age difference matters and so does the weight difference. Manny’s a welterweight and Juan Ma is really a lightweight,” Lederman said.
