When I do a news post like this in other sections I usually go on longer and criticize the article or give my opinion, but here I’m just asking you to read the articles and voice your own opinion on this.

THIS HAS JUST BEEN PASSED IN CERTAIN COUNTRIES e.g. see articles

basically anything that favours women is seen as POSITIVE and not discrimination

women doing better in health, education, law etc due to neglecting men and underspending and action on mens issues is seen as a GOOD thing yet sexist FEMinist think it is horrible when it occurs to women

solution - simple look out for men and women. NO women and children first, i thought women said they were "equal"

That's stupid, they should choose the person most qualified for the job, not pick them because of their gender.

As for  positive discrimination, well there's no such thing!

There's nothing positive about any kind of discrimination.

This new plan is much better than affirmative action, which is only legalized discrimination, because it also forces employers to disclose salary gaps within their organizations.

It does not reward self-segregarion like the laws in the US do.

However, as in most cases we will need to give it a little while to grow, see how employers respond to this.

This particular minister has been sacked from many Government posts because of her incompetency.

That however is no excuse for the (unelected) Labour Government to accept such a discrimitary law.

For the good of the Country Mr Brown please I beg you take it to the Country.

Do the terms equal ability and vice versa register with you?  Its called making a decision.  If you have two equally qualified persons and only one opening you have to make a choice.
