Harris English idealises Rory McIlroy and learns from the Honda Classic final round

Harris English wants to make his debut Professional Golf Association Tour season successful, by learning from the Honda Classic final round’s mediocre performance and by following Rory McIlroy.
English, a 22-year-old American professional golf player, turned professional in 2011. He was a Nationwide Tour player and is now playing his debut year at the PGA.
He played PGA Q-School in December last year and successfully earned a tour card for the 2012 season.
He started the season in January and played six tournaments up till now. His best finish was of the T15, at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. He also finished the Honda Classic on the 18th position.
During his performance at the Honda Classic, he enjoyed the presence of the current world no. 1, Rory McIlroy.
Now English has a role model and it is none other than the famous Northern Irish Player, McIlroy.
“Playing the last group at the Honda was awesome. I haven't been in that situation yet in a PGA Tour event and it was awesome playing with Rory and seeing him become world No. 1. I'm going to learn from it and gain a lot of experience,” English said in a
press conference after the Honda Classic.
The 22-year-old McIlroy had won the title of the Honda Classic by scoring 12-under 268 impressively.
Soon after the victory, he became the top ranked golfer worldwide. Hence, English was excited to play along him and see him win the title.
English played three rounds in Florida tremendously, but he carded three bogeys and double bogeys as well.
This was the only mediocre round played by the American. After finishing the round, he considered the day as a good learning experience.
“Yeah, I didn't really plan to be buried in the bunker on 2 but it was -- I faced a lot of adversity but hopefully I can learn from it. I hit some shots that probably looking back, I shouldn't have hit. I tried to force a little too much,” English said.
Now English is looking forward to learn from the mistakes he made on Sunday in the final round.
Furthermore, he will also be following McIlroy and will learn from his appealing performances, impressive strokes and enormous scoring.
