Former Manchester United youth coach, Eric Harrison believes that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 could easily go on and play another season for Manchester United, based on the way the midfielder has been playing this season.
Scholes went on to retire from football at the end of the previous season, but the midfielder was called out of his retirement to try and help stabilize a very shaky United midfield.
Despite everyone assuming that the midfielder was well out of his prime, Scholes has gone on to prove that he can still play against the very best, without skipping a beat.
Harrison strongly feels that Scholes can easily go on and play for the Red Devils for another season or two, as the former youth coach is quoted to have said:  “I talk to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 reasonably often and I said to him when he started again: 'Paul, you can play another season.' He said: 'Do you think so?' I said: 'Yeah, I'm absolutely certain.' Because there's an old saying in football: 'You can't move as fast as the ball', and he makes the ball do the work.”
“What happens with Paul, I think he likes somebody to tell him — not how good he is because he's been told that a million times — but for somebody to tell him he can go on longer.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has also admitted that he had asked Scholes if he would like to play for a while longer. However, the midfielder initially claimed that he didn’t want to play around thirty games a season, since he felt that would be wasting his potential.
Nonetheless, Ferguson believes that Scholes might think about his future in a completely different manner and could potentially be convince to stick around for a little longer.
“When I said to him last year: 'You'll give me 25 to 30 games,' that wasn't enough for him in his opinion. But I think he may look at it differently now."
It is now going to be a wait till the end of the season to see just what Scholes decides to do and whether he extends his stay at the club or not.
