Harry Potter Cauldron Cake Decoration?

If found this AWESOME Harry Potter Cauldron Cake recipe on-line, and I absolutely love it! It is basically a very light-tasting cupcakes with a little hint of cinnamon and ginger. In the Harry Potter 3 computer game, cauldron cakes are dome-shaped, and are sky blue and yellow (I'll provide a pic in a second). How should I decorate my next batch?

Usually for these kinda shaped cakes people tend to make square or round little cakes and trim it to get the shape...its a waste i think. My suggestion is that you make it like you would make a muffin. Remove from paper and turn it upside down. Muffin to at the bottom. Then Ice it with blue frosting and a dollop of yellow buttercream on the top..

use icing to make the tops look like owls with candy pieces for eyes etc.  Get the leaf decos to attach to the sides with icing for wings.
