I read the last Harry Potter book last summer and always wondered: What happened to Luna? She NEVER said! It's like she died or something! I was pretty sure she was going to marry Neville or something...but no, she wasn't mentioned. It's soo odd. Does anyone know??

  1. well, they can't mention ALL the characters in the epilogue...just assume it all turned out alright.

  2. In Rowling's first televised interview after the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, she revealed a number of aspects of Luna's life after Hogwarts. Luna continues to be an eccentric individual and pursues a career that is "the wizarding equivalent" of a naturalist. She comes to terms with her father's sometimes-false beliefs, but Rowling explains that her background has fostered in her a singular open-mindedness that allows her to make discoveries that more "reality"-oriented individuals might be unable to recognise.

In a later webchat-based interview, Rowling explained that Luna discovered many new species of animals and became quite famous for it, although she eventually was forced to admit that Crumple-Horned Snorkacks do not actually exist. She married a fellow naturalist, the grandson of Newt Scamander, named Rolf.[8]

In the JKR Documentary on ITV, she drew a family tree of the new generation of Weasleys, including Luna and Rolf. They had twin boys, named Lorcan and Lysander.

  3. Yes, here is all the information

Unfortunatly she doesn't marry Neville:In Rowling's first televised interview after the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, she revealed a number of aspects of Luna's life after Hogwarts.

The twins were born several years after Luna's friends had their own children. It was also revealed that Harry and Ginny named their third child and only daughter Lily Luna after their "dear friend".[9]

  4. She became a wizarding naturalist and found out some of her father's ideas were wrong. She is still eccentric.

She marries the Grandson of Newt Scamander (author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) who is named Rolf. They had twin boys, Lorcan and Lysander.

  5. yah, that was a bit disappointing!

But Rowling said she married a guy named Ralf Scamander...or something of the sort!

I thought Luna Might marry Dean, they seemed to share something when they were at shell cottage!

  6. J.K Rowling has confirmed that she is writing a Harry Potter encyclopedia...which will have EVERYTHING in it. It might not be out for another couple years though. I remember hearing that Harry's kid Lily's middle name is Luna, but I'm not sure.

  7. well JK really couldnt mention all of the characters in the epilogue. As you could see, it didn't mention who became the new Headmaster at hogwarts! and it didn't talk about the weasleys besides Ron. and Ginny of course. And it never said what happened with Hermoines parents! And Lee Jordan. Etc.

So really, there was a lot of things that the epilogue didn't talk about...

But oh welll! theres nothing that can be done about it now!
