Harry Potter...Twilight...what the h**l?

I'm confused.

Why is Half-Blood Prince getting pushed to summer of 2009 and why is Twilight getting pushed to Harry Potter's date in November?

I find that extremely unfair.

I was so excited for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. What's up with Twilight getting more props? I love Twilight too, but I'm a bit more excited for Half-Blood Prince.

Someone please explain this to me.

Half-blood prince is being moved to summer because Box-office will be bigger. Twilight is moving to the date that Harry Potter originally had. In the studio's eyes they don'y need another blockbuster this year because of The Dark Knight and Tropic Thunder.

They say it has something to do with the script writers strike but the real reason is that they know Harry Potter would do a lot better in summer. Plus Warner Brothers have already made much more than they expected this year with The Dark Knight and they know they make a fortune with Harry potter and don't want them to come out in the same year. So they moved Harry Potter to July and a slot opened for Twilight.

Make more money.  It is all positioned to make the money.

They know HP is hot and the viewers will wait and stew and the excitement will build even more.... They have us where they want us:  captive audience.  :)
