Question:

Harry Potter or Twilight?

For me. Harry Potter all the way. I only read Twilight cuz people begged me to. And then I read New Moon, and hated it!! Then I read Eclipse, which wasn't much of an improvement. Then Breaking Dawn, I expected to hate. I liked it. However, Harry Potter, being a better story and better in every way, hasn't disappointed me to much.

Harry Potter has a much larger fandom, that it earned, and deserves. Twilight doesn't really deserve it. But it has it. Eragon should be more known. Anyways........

Which do you prefer?

  1. I like them both but HARRY POTTER ALL THE WAY!!!!! Harry Potter got me started on reading and writing. I owe JK. Rowling so much for that. I'll never be able to repay her for what she's done for me.

  2. Equal

Harry Potter is a perfectly crafted, witty, magical world.

twilight is a beautiful and vivid creation of forbidden love.

If I weren't a hormonal teenage girl I'd probably say Harry Potter.

They both come alive for me.

  3. twilight

the harry potter movies were ok but never really got to reading the books

for both twilight and harry potter they deserve and earned it because thier authors spent a whole lot of their lives writing a book

  4. Twilight without a fricken doubt. Of course Twilight deserves it!! Stephenie Meyer has worked long and hard to make all four books as wonderful as they are. Sure, the Harry Potters are okay, but the Twilight saga Series, just apeals to me more.

    Katrina Cullen

  5. I have to say Harry Potter but only because of originality the whole in love with a vampire has been done before a million times, though twilight is my favorite interpretation on this take.

  6. Having read both of them, I vote for neither. But Harry Potter is definitely of the better of the two, and I don't even like him.

  7. Let's see, a fascinating series filled with interesting characters, an awesome plot and decent writing (HP) or a poorly written romance with shallow characters and a cheesy plot (Twilight)?

    Definitely Harry Potter.

  8. twilight all the way, the cullens totaly beat the potter's i mean vampire or wizard

  9. I think the Harry Potter books are more interesting.  They have more diverse characters, more exciting plots, and (especially in the earlier books) not such a cloying emphasis on love.  There is more humour in the books, and more drama.  I think they have a wider appeal.

However, the Twilight saga obviously hits the spot with a lot of people, mostly teenage girls I suppose.

I think whether or not a series of books is 'deserving' of popularity or not is up to the readers.  If a lot of people like a certain series then that is enough to make it 'deserve' it as far as I am concerned.  If a writer writes something that a lot of people like then she has done a good job.  I think only the readers can decide.

  10. neither.... they were both a waste of time.

  11. Uhh neither.

But if I'm forced to pick then i would have to say Harry Potter.

I don't get all the excitement over either of them.

    Nothing special.

  12. Harry Potter. And I believe you are the one millionth person to ask this question. Let's get some originality and proper use of YANSWERS when it's needed =)

    Ta

  13. harry potter all the way and i agree totally that eragon is a great book to and needs more publisity

  14. I agree, Eragon should be more known...

But I would say Harry Potter. For one it is a longer series and JK had to create a whole new world, I think she earns some points for that one. But I must admit that I like the Twilight books and even pre-ordered Breaking Dawn. =D

  15. I hated Harry Potter completely! I loved Twilight and actually like the whole series!

  16. Twilight. I am not a fan of brooms, spells and potions. Harry Potter never motivated me to read on. It's just not my interest.

  17. TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Harry Potter will always be the best series ever.

Twilight was good. Not nearly as good as Harry Potter, but I liked it.

  19. twilight all the way! its the perfect combination of romance, suspense and action. and twilight HAS without a doubt earned its fandom. stephenie meyer has created a world of amazing characters, and the perfect boy that anyone would want.

harry potter just annoys me. its got the adventure, but it gets so boring and long at times. it lacks the love and romance twilight has. sure, its got crushes and such, but nowhere near the intensity that twilight gives us.

twilight gives us a modern version of classics similar to Romeo and Juliet, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Also, i give Stephenie Meyer credit for creating a world of vampires and werewolves that is different than ever seen before. its CREATIVE people, changing things around like she did.

i'd rather read a love story with plenty of action, and some vampires and werewolves thrown in there, than a story about a whiny teen wizard waving his wand around.

  20. Harry Potter, no questions asked. I'm on Eclipse right now and I'm only reading the saga because one of my friends said she liked it. But it just seems to drag on aimlessly with no story except a romance between a helpless girl and a Hercules vampire. I do like Alice, though, but other than her there seems no point to the book. The same stuff keep happening, where Bella needs saving and is saved by Edward.

  21. i've read twilight but haven't harry potter but i though the movie harry potter was better than twilight if u ask me

  22. Twilight definitely. Vampires always trump over wizards. And especially vampires and humans in in love; that trumps wizards any day!!!

  23. twilight

i like the harry potter movies

  24. Harry Potter, duh.

Twilight sucks. There's no plot, it's too simple, nothing is accurate about the vampires and werewolves etc..

Overall, it's a horribly written book that gets undeserved credit.

Also, I'm sorry, but if you think Stephenie Meyer is as good as J.K Rowling and Anne Rice you are a bloody idiot.

  25. i never like harry potter because i never understood it but i love twilight i feel in love with it as soon as i got to chapter 2 of twilight now I'm trying to get my boy cousin to read it but he says its a "chick book"

  26. Twilight, while Harry Potter is a great series, it is still a childrens book and i find it easier to relate to Bella than to Harry
