Tottenham Hotspur’s manager has come out and stated that Tottenham had a tough time against West Bromwich Albion in their latest English Premier League encounter....
Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham Hotspur won their recent English Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion but Spurs were made to work extra hard to gain all three points against the Baggies who gave a good account of themselves
in their trip to North London. By taking all the three points, Tottenham have now closed into three points of Manchester United who are three points behind Manchester City.
United have played a game less than City and Tottenham Hotspur, therefore they will play their Premier League matchup against Newcastle United on Wednesday night at the Saint James’ Park stadium. Tottenham have already been built
up as title challengers but the North London club still have a lot to do in order to eclipse Manchester United and Manchester City.
Harry Redknapp’s team were given the win against West Bromwich Albion through Jermain Defoe’s second half strike. The former West Ham United manager said after the match, "It was a hard game. It was a tough game tonight, they have
lots of injuries as well but Roy set them up and they were difficult to break down.”
He added, "They got bodies in the way and there was nowhere to go when we had the ball for a lot of the game. We were struggling to get the breakthrough because they set themselves up, defended well and looked to hit us on the
break when they could. They made it very hard for us."
Hodgson, the West Bromwich Albion manager also praised his troops as he said that his team played up to his expectations and in the first half they allowed Tottenham time on the ball therefore it was difficult for them to gain
a foothold in the encounter.
Tottenham will hope that Manchester United drop points against Newcastle United on Wednesday night which increases the Spurs’ chance to catch up to Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson’s men in the English Premier League title race.
