The North London outfit succumbed to a fourth consecutive game without a win in league football and in doing so also gave up their 3rd place position in the English Premier League standings to Arsenal...
Tottenham grasped a late equalizer through Rafael Van der Vaart in their latest Premier League match against Stoke City but a draw wasn’t enough to keep hold of their treasured 3rd place spot in the league standings
as Arsenal finally took over the Spurs. Arsenal are now 3rd in the league but Tottenham can still make it to the UEFA Champions League next season if they pick up their form and retain a 4th place finish.
Redknapp’s team have been truly on their way down ever since they capitulated against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 earlier on in the season as they gave up a two goal advantage at the Emirates stadium to lose 5-2 to the Gunners. After that they lost
to Manchester United at the White Hart Lane stadium by 3-1 and then failed to win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 at Goodison Park as well.
This run of results has now been compounded by their draw against Stoke City on Wednesday night whilst Arsenal won their respective league encounter. With Redknapp being touted up as the next http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 manager it is possible that
the aura of uncertainty surrounding the manager has affected the North London club.
Redknapp said, “We just seem to have lost our way a little bit. We are not playing with quite the same fluency that we were a few weeks ago. It’s difficult to put your finger on it. One or two of us look a bit jaded. We’ve got
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 now on Saturday for a big game so we’ve got to pick ourselves up again and go there and try and get a result.”
He added, “Anything can happen. We’ve got to come from behind now and pick it up. It’s not all over by any means. Now is the time to get going again. Stoke are never an easy team to beat. They were solid. I said before the game
that we had to be careful on set-plays, and we got done on a set-play.”
