The Tottenham manager has accepted that he wants Adebayor to stay with the North London club but the former Manchester City striker might have to go due to his excessive wage demands…
Harry Redknapp has revealed that he is willing to keep http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 at White Hart Lane as the striker is currently on loan at Tottenham but the Togolese striker might have to take a wage cut to stay at Tottenham. Ever since
his arrival from Manchester City on loan to Tottenham, Adebayor has been central to Spurs’ rise up the Premier League table. Currently fourth in the league table, Tottenham are in a perfect position to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
However Spurs are also level on points with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in the third place spot as well and if they win their remaining matches they might surpass their north London rivals as far as league position is concerned. Redknapp’s striking
options have been bolstered by the availability of Adebayor but this boom might be short lived as Adebayor’s loan ends in the summer and then he might have to go back to City.
Redknapp said, "He scored two goals last week against Swansea and he has been excellent, but whether it's possible to do a deal, I wouldn't be sure. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manu-c23375 is on loan at the moment and that's where we're at. The chairman will deal
with (any negotiations) at the end of this season. I wouldn't have a clue whether (a permanent transfer) is a possibility or not."
He added, "His future doesn't seem to be there. He probably needs to move on. City have just gone through a dicky little spell recently but they have lots of good strikers there. If you look at the quality they have up front, they
are full of top players. Last week we had a good week, beating Bolton in the FA Cup and beating Swansea and drawing at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the league, so we are in good form again."
