Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has revealed he believes his side have the perfect opportunity to end their victory-less run against Manchester United on Sunday in the English Premier League.
While in the past seasons the Spurs had not even been close to the top three on the English Premier League table, but now they find themselves on third place. They are currently having a fantastic season, probably their best since 1961.
They will be taking on Manchester United at White Hart Lane with the chance of closing the gap to five points with second place Manchester United with just 11 games to go for the remainder of the season. This will be the perfect chance to close the gap with
the Red Devils as the term draws to a close.
According to Redknapp his side possessed the quality this season to face Manchester United and come away with a decent result. Redknapp said in an interview:
“It is the best equipped team to win since 2001. It will be difficult. Manchester United are still a great team so you know what you are in for.
We will have to be at our very best if we are going to get a result from the game but we have a good chance.”
Tottenham Hotspur will be without midfielder Scott Parker who picked up an injury during the international break and Redknapp admitted he was sad to see the former West Ham United man miss out on the important fixture. He revealed how Parker had gone on
to become an important part of the squad and how his absence would make all the difference in the world for Tottenham Hotspur.
