Harry Redknapp believes that Tottenham Hotspur are better than Manchester City – EPL news
Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp, has revealed that Manchester City are no better than the Spurs. He was talking in the wake of his team’s defeat to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Crouch-c29741.
The match was played on Tuesday, May 10, at Eastlands. With this loss, the Spurs have now gone out of contention for a fourth placed finish and the best they can achieve is a spot in UEFA Europa League. Redknapp believed that Spurs were simply unlucky against
City and in spite of creating several chances, were unable to capitalise.
He insisted that nothing can be ruled out in football and wished them best of luck for that campaign. He further added that City do have some quality players in their line-up but it doesn’t mean that they are good enough to win the Champions League.
Further voicing his opinion upon City’s chances in the Champions League, Redknapp mentioned that the multimillionaire City owner could still buy out a few more quality players in order to win Europe’s most prestigious club title.
He further enthused, "It seems to me they can go as far as they want to go. They have an owner who can spend anything he wants and they could go out and buy another four or five world-class players in the summer and try to win the Champions League. It won't
be beyond them. They have good players already but I wouldn't say they are any better than us to be truthful.”
He also claimed that the Spurs would be a totally different outfit during the next term and won’t let their fans down. He hailed the performance of his side against the Citizens and believed that his side were far better than their opponents but that one
goal ruined the night.
Tottenham are currently sixth in the League table with 56 points and are left with two games that will end this year’s campaign. Redknapp’s side will next be in action against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 on Sunday, May 15, before they host Birmingham City in the final game
of the season on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/May-22-c39884.
