Harry Redknapp confirms David Beckham’s interest in Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed that the charismatic English midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 wants to join the club on loan. Just a couple of days back, Redknapp expressed his desire to bring Beckham to White Hart Lane but admitted it will
be an uphill task as many European clubs are in the race to sign the football superstar.
On Beckham’s interest at joining Tottenham, Redknapp said, “He just said that he would like to come and play here at Tottenham.”
The England ex-captain has not yet been given permission from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 manager

Beckham is out of action these days due to Major League Soccer’s summer season. In previous years during this time, Beckham joined the Italian club AC Milan to secure his place in the English national side. He, however, missed the 2010 FIFA World Cup after
he picked an injury during his last stint at Milan. The injury also forced him to sit out most of the MLS season and this is reported as the reason for Galaxy’s reluctance to let their key player spend another loan term in Europe.
The Englishman had previously ruled out a move back to the Premier League insisting he will only join Manchester United, his former club, if he decided to sign a deal with an English side. It is believed that a U-turn to his statement came about because
Spurs do not have any direct rivalry with United.
If Beckham does join Spurs on a loan deal, he will have to report back at Galaxy by March. Hence, Redknapp is keen to seal the deal as quickly as possible. He said,
“We'd have to get him quickly if it's going to happen as he's only available until March. I've left it to the people at the club. I've passed it on them. They're talking to whoever they have to talk to at his club. It's down to whether they'd let him come
or not.”
Tottenham currently lie 4th on the Premier League table and have qualified for the knockout round of the Champions League, where they will face AC Milan.
