Harry Redknapp confirms Luka Modric out of Manchester United fixture, Gareth Bale remains hopeful
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed that Chelsea target http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857 will be not be featuring against Manchester United today. The 25-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since the beginning of the summer transfer
window and it seems his dream move is finally close.
The Blues had two bids rejected for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Levy claimed the player would not be available at any price, it seems
the Spurs are now considering parting ways with Modric, who clearly does not want to be at White Hart Lane.
Redknapp admitted last week that the squad could benefit from the sale of Modric, suggesting the management at the club were considering selling the Croatian. He revealed the club could invest in three to four players from the money received from Modric’s
sale and his latest revelation only confirms Modric’s imminent departure to Chelsea.
Redknapp claimed Modric had a slight injury, which was one of the reasons why he had decided to keep him out of the squad against Manchester United. The Spurs travel to Old Trafford tonight in a crucial fixture and Modric will be unavailable since the English
manager felt the player’s head was not in the right place.
Redknapp said while speaking to reporters:
“He’s got a little bit of an injury. There’s a possibility he could have played through it. But at the moment his head’s not in the right place.”

but having sensed that he was close to a move away urged his side to carry on without him.
Bale said in an interview:
“Luka is a fantastic player. I'm not sure what the situation is with him but I think if he is here then he's great for the team but if he's not then we have to get on without him.”
He continued:
“Luka and JJ (Jenas) didn't play so it gives confidence to the whole squad that we can play like that.
These players that came in are international players and they showed that they are all class. It shows what kind of squad we have got.”
