The Tottenham Hotspur manager has come out and admitted that he is disappointed with his team’s recent results in the Premier League after Spurs lost their latest league encounter against Everton at Goodison Park...
Harry Redknapp has said that he is suicidal at the moment due to Tottenham’s lack of form in the English Premier League following their latest defeat at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes’ Everton at Goodison Park. Tottenham’s loss to Everton
is their third defeat in a row as they lost in the past two weeks to Arsenal and then to Manchester United as well before losing out to Everton.
Redknapp’s team were being touted up as the title contenders just a few weeks ago but now all of that talk as evaporated as Spurs are focusing on holding onto the third place spot in the Premier League. With Arsenal resurgent
and Chelsea looking dangerous at the business end of the season, Redknapp would be hoping that his team can pull up their socks are maintain a steady form till the end of the season, something that is vital for their chances of finishing in the top four teams
The good news for Tottenham is that their run till the end of the season is a relatively easy one as they have played most of their games against the top four teams of the English Premier League already. However the former Portsmouth
manager would be aware of the fact that complacency can creep into his players, something that cannot be allowed.
Redknapp said, "I'm suicidal really. We've lost away to Arsenal, away to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 and at home to Manchester United and they're always going to be tough games. Two of the games we didn't deserve to lose, today and against Manchester
United. I said all along that 10 points can evaporate very quickly. You look at the fixtures and you knew going away to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, playing Manchester United, they were tough games and you knew it could turn.”
He added, "But we're still in a better position than the other teams and we've just got to keep going, keep believing and we'll go again and turn it around. Against Manchester United we couldn't have asked for more but we switched
off for a couple of set-plays and today we came back so strong in the second half and they didn't come out of their half, we just couldn't get the ball."
