The Tottenham manager has revealed that Parker has had injections to help him with his injury troubles but things look bleak for the Englishman who was a favourite to be in the England 2012 EURO squad under Roy Hodgson...
Harry Redknapp has come out and made it clear that Scott Parker’s situation regarding his fitness issues is a serious one which might force the Englishman to miss the European Championships in the summer. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749’s manager Roy
Hodgson would’ve been banking on Parker and willing to take him in the England squad to the European Championships but things are looking bleak for the former West Ham man due to his Achilles problem.
Parker missed the few last matches of the league season for Tottenham which included their last day win over Fulham to seal the fourth place finish but now he faces a race against time to declare himself fit for the European Championships.
Redknapp who was one of the favourites to take over as the England national team manager after Capello’s resignation opted to stick with Tottenham Hotspur. Roy Hodgson now has a tough http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 on his hands if England are to succeed at the European Championships.
Redknapp said, "He has had an injection and hopefully that will do the trick. It should settle it down, it might be seven or eight days and then he could be okay to start training again and playing. I just hope he is going to be
okay for the Euros for his sake and for England as well. If the injection doesn't work then obviously he has got a problem, we will have to see where we go from there and see if something more drastic is done.”
He added, "I think they [the medical team] are quite confident the injection could do the trick, so let's hope so. Yeah I am sure they have got a chance - Aaron, Jermain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kyle-Walker-c21566 and Scott - so I wouldn't be surprised if four
of them made it but I wouldn't be sure.”
