The former West Ham manager was forced to admit just a day before his dismissal that he was determined to stay at Tottenham but now he is making it clear that he is not that disappointed after getting dismissed from his job
at Tottenham Hotspur...
The former Tottenham and Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has made it clear that he is not going to descend into depression after his dismissal as Tottenham’s club manager. The Englishman who had declined to take up a role as
the English national team manager after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello’s departure stuck with Tottenham throughout the previous season but at the end their failure to make it into the UEFA Champions League proved to be the final nail in his coffin.
In the end, the club decided to part ways with Redknapp as they thought that he had taken Spurs as far as he could. Tottenham were competing alongside Manchester United and Manchester City for the Premier League title for a large
part of the recently concluded league season but they couldn’t keep it up and finished fourth in the league standings.
Chelsea’s win in the UEFA Champions League final meant that Spurs were not awarded a place in the European Cup next season which became the primary reason for Redknapp’s dismissal in the end. There have been rumours that the Englishman
is set to retire from management altogether but Harry put those to bed earlier.
The former Tottenham manager said, “I won't slit my throat over it. I want to get on with my life instead of moping about getting the sack. I loved every minute of my time at Spurs and I've no regrets whatsoever. I don't feel
bitter, nor regretful, there's no confusion or anger."
He added, "When people at the top don't like you, what can you do about it? I have to respect it. I can't do anything about that. These are strange, unexpected. We did a good http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684. If someone had offered me fourth place before the
season started, I'd have taken it."
As Tottenham are not playing Champions League football next season there is a real threat that some of their stars might leave the club in the current transfer window. Thus the club are in talks with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martinez-c24468 who if appointed
will first of all look to convince the players to trust his new project at White Hart Lane.
