The former West Ham United manager is facing an uncertain future at White Hart Lane given that he has only got a single year left on his contract at Tottenham Hotspur with the negotiations on an extension yet to take place
with Chairman Daniel Levy...
Harry Redknapp has come out and made it clear that the ball is now in Tottenham’s court as far as the task of renewing his contract goes as there is just a single year left on the deal between the North London club and the former
West Ham United manager.
In the previous season, Tottenham were challenging for the Premier League title till the January transfer window but things went downhill for the Spurs after that as they failed to keep up their performances and compete with the
likes of Manchester United and Manchester City. Their wretched run of form also prevented them from grabbing onto the third place spot which was eventually taken up by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Spurs were relegated to the fourth place finish in the end.
With their UEFA Champions League hopes pinned on a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich in the final of the tournament, Tottenham were one of the losers in Munich at the end of May as well when they found out that it will
be Chelsea who will be granted a place in the next season’s Champions League campaign rather than Spurs themselves.
Redknapp elaborated on his situation at Tottenham and said, "I've never had a problem with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Levy.  I've probably got on as well with Daniel as I could any... People keep talking about our relationship. I've never had a minute's
problem with Daniel Levy in terms of falling out with him or whatever. I don't even know where that comes from.”
He added, "The simple situation is, I've got a year left on my contract. It's up to Tottenham whether they want to extend that contract or not.” It will be interesting to see how Redknapp’s future plays out now as it should be
noted that he turned down the English national team http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello parted ways with the Three Lions.
