Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has revealed his side need to bounce back from the 5-2 defeat to Arsenal like they had done so earlier on in the English Premier League season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 managed a fantastic comeback at the Emirates Stadium in the north-London derby on Sunday, coming from 2-0 down to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 5-2. Third place Spurs have now suffered yet another defeat that could turn their uphill season around.
The English manager revealed the importance of the upcoming week, which was for international fixtures. After which Tottenham Hotspur will be taking on Manchester United at White Hart Lane, the perfect opportunity to close the gap with the second place Red
Devils.
Redknapp said while speaking to reporters:
“We've got to come back like we did earlier in the season. We need to bounce back and recover. The problem is that everyone is going to various parts of the world to play international games.
They don't come back until Friday so there's hardly anyone in all week. It's crazy build-up to massive games at this stage of the season and with us playing Manchester United next week.”
While Redknapp was confident in his side’s abilities to defeat Manchester United at home, he was somewhat doubtful because of the international break. Because of international fixtures, most of Redknapp’s players will be flying out to different countries;
something Redknapp feels could affect their performance against Manchester United.
As for the defeat to the Gunners over the weekend, Redknapp felt his side could have done better. The manager felt his team were under pressure most of the time, even when they were up by two goals. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 were the goal scorers
for Tottenham Hotspur but their efforts were not enough to stop the Gunners from first equalizing and then scoring three more goals to secure a comfortable 5-2 win.
He revealed:
“At 2-0 I didn't feel comfortable and at 2-2 I felt even less comfortable and the momentum was with them at half-time. They came off to a standing ovation and you knew it was going to be a very tough second half.”
