made it public that he is in pursuit of a European club, to spend a loan term, until his Major League Soccer season with LA Galaxy kicks off in March.
The ex England captain is looking for this loan deal to get back into the English national side. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello has made it clear that the midfielder needs to prove his fitness by playing competitive football in top European leagues to be
considered for a recall. Even though Beckham has ruled out a move back to the Premier League, insisting he will only come back to his old club at Old Trafford if possible, English clubs are lining up offers for the Englishman, when the January transfer window
opens.
Redknapp too, expressed his interest in Beckham stating, “It's whether Galaxy will let him go on loan. If they did, we'd be interested and plenty of others would be as well. He'd be a good influence to have, the type of lad you want at your club and he'd
give the whole place a lift. He's been a fantastic player and he is someone the players would look up to and respect.”
Redknapp is aware of the fact that his club might not be able to afford the kind of pay scale Beckham might be offered at other clubs. The Tottenham boss, however, insisted that Beckham will overlook the salary issue if he is interested in joining the club.
Redknapp has been given the green signal by Daniel Levy to spend in January on players that can have a positive impact on an already astonishing season for Spurs. Redknapp on the other hand does not look content on buying in new players. He said, “The owner
would like me in all honesty to go and spend his money and buy somebody who could make the difference, but I don't know where that player is.”
Redknapp has had an immaculate time as Tottenham’s manager so far. His side currently lies 5th in the League table with 33 points, only 5 points behind leaders Manchester United. In the Champions League, they topped their group, and will now face
AC Milan in the knock out stages of the tournament. Beckham’s experience in the Premier League as well as the Champions League will surely come in handy for the young Tottenham side, if the prized footballer decides to join the club.
