Tottenham Hotspur’s manager, Harry Redknapp has admitted that he would live to keep http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 at the White Hart Lane.
The striker went on to join the London based club from Manchester City, as part of a loan deal. However, following his move to the club, he went on to become a crucial part of the squad.
Adebayor managed to score another double last night, as he helped the Spurs go on and beat Bolton. As a result of his contributions, he has managed to score sixteen goals for the team and helped them move back into the top four on goal difference.
Redknapp was asked if he would be interested in retaining the services of the striker, given the fact that his loan deal with the club is set to end in a couple of days.
In response to those questions, Redknapp insisted that he was more than willing to keep a hold of the striker, but it was down to the two teams to strike up a deal for the player.
Redknapp is quoted to have said: "Yeah of course. It's two weeks from the end of the season, I'm hardly going to say 'no'.”
"I love Adebayor. We'll have to see what happens. I would like him, he has done very well. I haven’t spoken to the chairman yet."
The manager then went on to talk about Vertonghen and stated that the team had watched him play a few times, but so far, there had been no contact with the player, his representatives, or his club.
When talking about landing the talented defender, Redknapp went on to state: "[Vertonghen] is a good player. We've watched him, but we haven't spoken to the club. A lot of clubs will be interested."
Tottenham are now sitting in the top four once again, following their win last night. Should the team continue to play in the same manner, they could ensure their stay in a Champions League spot and end up retaining their star players, while attracting a
host of new faces in the summers.
It is now up to the team to win their remaining fixtures.
