Harry Redknapp will make changes to squad
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has revealed he is looking to make tweaks to his squad in January.
Redknapp believes that with a few changes Spurs could mount a late challenge for the Premier League title. He says there are a few areas of the squad that can be drastically improved without huge financial
investment.
"I am looking to bring people in this January.
We need to tweak it to finish it off.
There's one or two other bits we could do, without spending a fortune, that could make a difference to the team," Redknapp said according to the Sky Sports website.
Redknapp has also hinted that he wants to stay at the club for a number of further years. He believes that the shape of Tottenham is good and the side can be mounting a
strong and regular challenge for the Premier League title in the next few seasons.
"We've a new training ground coming, the club's in good shape and we can go
forward. Tottenham have got a title in them in the next few years. I genuinely feel that, why shouldn't I?" he added.
The Spurs boss has suggested the fact that no single team has pulled clear at the top of the table suggests that the level of competition is very even in the Premier League
at present.
This suggests that there is space for a team to improve and cause an upset over the next year or two. Spurs can beat any other side in the league and the comeback against
Arsenal over the weekend to win 3-2 despite having been 2-0 down at half-time shows the quality the club has.
"It's there for someone to pull off a surprise and our win at Arsenal gives
us great confidence," he said.
Betting advice
There's no reason to change regular betting patterns with this Spurs side. Wait and see who Redknapp brings in during January. If there are one or two transfers similar in nature
to the arrival of Rafael van der Vaart then don't be afraid to have a little bet on Spurs winning the league next season.
